We, the British Music Video Association, are launching with a campaign for tax relief in music video production.

The UK has long been a crucible of music video creativity, launching musicians and filmmakers onto the global stage with iconic work that has shaped music, television, and cinema.

With their collaborative spirit, music videos have supported and opened a gateway into the screen industries for a brilliantly imaginative workforce that might otherwise have remained excluded.

That remains true today, as a new wave of extraordinary talent is rising. With the right support, the UK can attract major investment and strengthen its legacy as a global hub for world-class visual culture.

As with film, TV, and video games, tax incentives have been proven to attract investment and cement the UK’s status as a world leader in creative production. A similar credit for music videos would boost production levels, raise quality, and nurture the next generation of talent.
